HOW it all started and a little about me...
You can say I’ve never tired from the challenge of organizing events. Born in Seattle where I watched my Mother manage a party store in downtown, and a move to Snohomish at age 7 because horses stole my heart, the next 13 years of my life was molded around the organization and leadership of 4-H; there is a forever love "to make the best better!"

Adventure in hospitality and love for photography was discovered while working through my college years. As a Banquet Captain, in a few Seattle based hotels, event management spruced excitement by successfully meeting the needs of various clients, vendors and staffing.

2007 brought me to Wenatchee for my husband’s job. My beginning and spreading root was founded in Central Washington while working at a large winery in Lake Chelan as an Event Coordinator and at a local wedding venue. Colleen Simpson Weddings and Events was launched to become my perfect life balance of work and being a stay-at home mom.

In my free time, and with love for all 4 seasons Wenatchee brings, gardening, cooking, all things outdoors, and running are my top hobbies along with riding my Arabian Victoria.

Why I love weddings? Not only is it the raw and tender emotions I get to be a part of, whether in open or closed doors, its the experience within human laughter and unity that warms my heart. Just as no two women are the same, neither are two weddings the same, which makes the planning exciting year round. I am truly grateful and honored to take part in a couple's journey as they become one.

With my 15 years of event experience, I've essentially created a service that guides you through the planning process; never guessing what it is you should be doing or thinking about, leading up to, and executing your day. My day of service allows you to relax with confidence in knowing all the details have been carefully thought through and co-planned, leaving you able to enjoy your wedding with friends and family. Remember, this is YOUR day, and YOU get to make the decisions. I have a humble approach to each and every wedding, so all are welcomed!

DAY-OF WEDDING COORDINATION $1,400 (Covering the essentials of your wedding day)


*{2} Consultations totaling up to {5} hours of professional in-person consultation time throughout the planning process. Initial consultation to explain the planning, coordination process, and obtain information about the wedding

* Monthly TO-DO lists to keep Client and Coordinator unrushed and transparent planning through details

* Ideas and vendor suggestions according to budget, style, and personality

* Provide etiquette and logistical advice throughout planning process by email or phone

* Development of detailed wedding timeline, co-planned between client(s) and Coordinator

* Create and assist with processional order of ceremony (discussed 2-3 months prior to wedding date)

* Confirmation and coordination with all vendors (Communication with vendors starts 2-3 months prior to wedding date)

* Wedding rehearsal supervision {1} hour maximum (Coordinator can lead or assist with Officiant)

* On-site coordination and supervision for up to {9} hours on the day of, $75 per additional hour.

* Assist with day of wedding décor (setup plan discussed 1-3 months prior to wedding, no surprises!)

* Meet and coordinate all vendors on site the day of

* Facilitate wedding ceremony -- properly line up processional and cue musicians

* Orchestrate day of event transitions (Event transitions discussed 2-3 months prior to wedding)

* Coordinate entertainment and all announcements with band/DJ/musicians, day of

* Assist with a plan of 'what is going where' at the end of the night and responsibility between vendor, venue, and client (discussed 1-2 months prior to wedding)

* Wedding day direction and troubleshooting

Please note that the services listed above do not include running any errands such as picking up cake, flowers, supplies, wedding invitations, arranging transportation, rentals, accommodations, and cleanup of wedding unless discussed and approved by Colleen.
