HOW it all started…
You can say I’ve never tired from the challenge of organizing events. Born in Seattle where I watched my mom manage a party store in downtown, and a move to Snohomish at age 7 because horses stole my heart, the next 13 years of my life revolved around 4-H. The 4-H life introduced leadership and organizational skills; there is a forever love "to make the best better!"

Adventure in hospitality was my new found love through my college years. Working as a banquet captain in a few Seattle based hotels; managing event staff, overseeing catering from setup to tear down, and working with various clients bringing their visions and joys to life, called my future of pursuit.

2007 brought me to Wenatchee for my husband’s job. While in Central Washington, my beginning and spreading root was then found working at a large winery in Lake Chelan and at a local wedding venue. Colleen Simpson Weddings and Events was launched when my family blossomed, the perfect balance; allowing me to devote my daily love to my two children, Owen and Kate, and still remain in the work field.

Why I love weddings? It is purely the raw and tender emotions. The laughter, the tears, taking a part in a journey, witnessing couples making decisions together for the first time, and watching two people embark on their future as one. I could go on...

In my free time, with love for all 4 seasons Wenatchee brings, you can find me riding my Arabian Victoria, improving my exercise routine, camping with my family, spending quality time with my kids and husband (making those memories!), and even fulfilling all those never ending mom duties. Life is beautiful!

With my 13 years of experience, I've essentially created a service that guides you through the planning process; never guessing what it is you should be doing or thinking about, leading up to, and executing your day. My service allows you to relax with confidence in knowing all the details have been carefully thought through and planned, leaving you able to enjoy your occasion with your guests. Remember, this is YOUR day, and YOU get to make the decisions. I have a humble approach to each and every wedding, so all are welcomed!

WEDDING DAY COORDINATION $1,300 (Covering the essentials of your wedding day)

*{2} Consultations totaling up to {4} hours of professional in-person consultation time throughout the planning process. Initial consultation to explain the planning, coordination process, and obtain information about the wedding

* Ideas and vendor suggestions according to budget, style, and personality

* Provide etiquette and logistical advice throughout planning process

* Development of detailed wedding timeline

* Create and assist with ceremony order

* Meet with bride and groom 2-3 weeks prior to the wedding date to learn additional details of wedding day

* Confirmation and coordination with all vendors and parties involved 1-2 weeks prior to wedding date

* Wedding rehearsal supervision {1} hour maximum

* On-site coordination and supervision for ceremony and reception for up to {8} hours on the day of your wedding. $75 per additional hour.

* Assist with day of wedding decor (Discussed during second consultation 2-3 weeks prior to wedding date)

* Meet and coordinate all vendors on site the day-of

* Instruct attendants of their duties

* Facilitate wedding ceremony -- properly line up processional and cue musicians

* Coordinate entertainment and all announcements/events during reception

* Wedding day direction and troubleshooting

Please note that the services listed above do not include running any errands such as picking up cake, flowers, supplies, wedding invitations, arranging transportation, rentals, accommodations, and cleanup of wedding unless discussed and approved by Colleen.
